This unique course in clinical hypnosis (hypnotherapy), is based around the UK Governments national occupational standard in hypnotherapy (level 4 – foundation degree level). The optional (although highly recommended) ‘HPD’ qualification is externally awarded by the national awarding body NCfE and The National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH).
The HPD is regarded as the ‘Gold Standard’ for professional hypnotherapists and can lead to inclusion in the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) Register. CNHC was established with government support to regulate Hypnotherapy along with other previously unregulated complementary therapies.
The Professional Practitioner Programme comprises of 120 hours of practical classroom attendance training as part of a total of 450 guided learning hours, the remainder being completed in case study work, reading, online study and the completion of a portfolio of evidence – this contains learner declarations as well as a detailed question paper which is completed by students in their own time and at their own pace, for external assessment.
This course covers the syllabus and hours required to gain a Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) through the National Council of Hypnotherapy (NCH). The NCH is the UK’s leading not-for-profit hypnotherapy professional association, representing over 1800 professional hypnotherapists. Upon completion of the HPD, successful candidates will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement by NCFE. The HPD has been accredited by the NCFE as having measurable learning outcomes that have been benchmarked at Level 4 (using Ofqual’s Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) level descriptors).
The NCFE is recognised as an Awarding Organisation by the qualification regulators for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The NCH has been approved as an NCFE centre and the HPD has been accredited by the NCFE to guarantee that it is of a high standard and meets the rigorous requirements of a national awarding organisation.
NCFE accreditation gives assurance that the content of a training course is of a high standard and meets the rigorous requirements of a National Awarding Organisation. NCFE accreditation also gives formal recognition to our courses which result in the ‘award’ of a certificate of achievement. This award does not qualify you for a nationally recognised qualification.
Graduates of this course will be eligible to register with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). For more information see www.cnhc.org.uk.
